In fact, I nearly finished to write the networking library (testing+a client module for slick+documentation to complete still need to be done). I will then make from that a very simple demo. I hope that will be useful for other Slick users

Dunno if you guys started to do something.

If you are still in the project, it's preferable you go ahead.

I will try to adapt on what's done.

Finally I have free time starting from today :)

Earlier, I made this layout based on the image from Meraxupypr (I think).

Any sugestions about the layout, the colors, the font, etc.

Really nice man :D . Abusing of transparency for overlaying components would be nice too  .

Wanna ask you if you have any List components for SUI to share ?

In fact I wanna use slick+SUI for the interface of the server manager. I don't want to use swing anymore lol.

That's exactly what I'm planning to do. Also, I don't like much of clusttered GUI...

I have this SuiList I made yesterday but it's not finished, though you can use it since it's minimally functional (or so I think :?).
I'll just document it now and post the code in the SUI thread, when finished.

Do you prefer a shiny GUI or solid, textured one? Colors: warm, cold, dark, bright..?
I know. It's soon to care to much about those things but as I already said, ideas will come out automatically and it's nice to see something concrete :)

What you made is really nice. If we had some artworks, we could have but one in the background. Anyway that's not so important

About SuiList, in fact I just need something really simple so that's ok :D .

I was thinking we could make a translucent background for the menu
But.. I don't know it's kind of a cliché nowadays.

The list is avaliable; check the SUI thread.

sorry for not answering so long... real life problems...
Anyway I'm still here, and still doing :)

Also sorry if I was too rude in my previous post, but if we are going to make good game, everyone must make same game. Iwrote before that shooting will be only horisontal (thats mean left or right). If you are want to make character with articulations - suggest it first, but not just do as you want while others do as it documented. Thats it :)

irongiant, looks prety cool. As our setting will be cyberpunk, warm colors will suit well. Also cyberpunk stuff should present in game (for example, microchips instead of stars).
I hope next link will help you (about colors)

For characters we can choos from one of the following:

orelero, I need some code to start working from (it can be client server example, or just example with colisions)

The server library is finished (pheww, longer than expected  ).
Today I'm working on the client module.
To test the whole thing, I added a test package in both client server.
The example is really simple, it enables multiple players to move on a simple plateform.
Same as you I have real life problems :P so I don't know exactly when it's done.
I also go on holiday the coming Sunday, so I fixed the dead line at the coming Saturday. That means on Saturday you will have everything to work on, anyway if there's a problem I 'll still be able to post here.

I think you can go ahead, there won't be real problem to adapt things after.

Oh that's just a mockup we can say, so the starts are generics icons

So it will be "cyberpunk style"? Ok.

About the articulations, I was just speculating. I've been thinking and I think it might not be a good option, so...

MSN? I didn't receive any messages...

got killed by the dead line... F*cking lack of time

Anyway you can go ahead. Do not care about the game architecture, I'll adapt on what's done.

Here is what I've done so far. Some things are dirty and badly documented since I had to hurry:

Source code is linked.

Time to be on vacation phewww now !

See you in 2 weeks guys. Have a nice week-end.

irongiant, "MSN? I didn't receive any messages..." exactly what i'm think... when I try send message to you, I didn't reseive confirmation that you receive it (may be cos I use miranda)

orelero, :)

As no code, no something readable was presented, and orelero also mentioned that he will adapt, I try do make "dirt" arhitecture.

Hi from Ireland ;).
In fact I just gave u links to see whats done so far.
All classes have their source code joined with them.

But do not worry about dirty code.
