I'm trying to space out the letters in my glyph-rendering-bitmap-font thing, but I can't get it to work properly.

currently, I'm using:
Code:
removed

but what I end up with is:
Image

(notice how all of the letters are not separated, but instead closely connected?)

I've tried to change the line:
font.getSub((w*5)+w, 0, 5, 5).draw(x+(i*5*scale), y, scale);

to

font.getSub((w*5)+w, 0, 5, 5).draw(x+(i*5*scale)+2, y, scale);

(for 2px spacing, but to no avail)

EDIT: fixed (+i*scale)

Why not use AngelCodeFont? Or SpriteSheetFont?
