Hi all, thanks in advance for the help -

I'm trying to find a way to detect where the player is on the isometric map so that I can check the map properties for collisions, etc.

I've tried making a boolean array for collision tiles, but I am having a difficult time finding which tile the player is on and giving it an appropriate index. Also, the player enters negative coordinate territory which causes an ArrayOutOfBoundsException using the method of a boolean array for collision detection.

Perhaps there is a better way?

Thanks again, I would appreciate any resources/threads/etc on the subject as it relates to my question.
