I'm currently running into an issue where my tilemap is not rendering.
Additionally, I'm not receiving any errors when running the program. :?:
I have imported my tiled map into my res file.

My Code:

declaration of my variable

private TiledMap map;


initialization
Code:
map = new TiledMap("res/test.tmx");


rendering
Code:
map.render(0, 0);


I tried using the code from http://thejavablog.wordpress.com/2008/06/08/using-slick-2d-to-write-a-game/
and I still faced the same issue where I am just left with a blank screen.

My g.drawString text is still appearing in my frame along with my sprite that is being used through image.draw(shiftX, shiftY).

In my efforts to debug I tried printing out the dimensions of the tiled map and it is returning 100 for both the width and height though i have been changing the size of the tiled map and have refreshed it.

If there are any questions regarding this issue please ask.
