Thanks :D

I've been making a lot of progress with both customisable player outfits (they get to choose their colours, their hair and accessories and such) and NPCs. Kev's A* code saved me a lot of time with getting my chasing AI working nicely, had to rip it out and mod it quite a bit to get exactly what I wanted but Slick does seem the gift that just keeps on giving ^^

Onwards!

Nice graphics, cool small fonts.. It reminds me of Tibia (the GUI ^^)

Buckets of updates! As always you can find detailed information over at http://www.mirage-realms.com.

In an effort to represent the project better I have completely rewritten the first post in this thread to give a better overview of where I am now. When I initially started this thread I was only *just* beginning to understand Slick and had a few basic pictures of stationary men sliding around a field... things have moved on somewhat :D

And yes you've found me out hehe, I am drawing heavy inspiration from Tibia for the UI design. I played Tibia for about 7 years so it is definitely a big influence over certain aspects of what I am trying to create.

Because everyone likes screenshots, check out this idiot trying to turn a street lamp on from 20 feet away.

I feel encouraged everytime I see an update here =D
I'm still working in the networking basics so it'll take a time until I can post my pics here.

Good luck dude

I have 2 questions, you programmed your whole map editor? Or there is some tool to help that?

About the like "tibia" design, how did you make this design?

Yeah I wrote the Map Editor, it's a bit hacky but it does the job :)

The 'Tibia' style design, I simply put that together in Photoshop and implemented it using TWL.

This project is potentially going Open Source at the weekend.

Open source will be awesome :D

Well, I have a good knowledge of programming, I work on that, but I work on normal systems, not games.

I try to study for games, but the time is short, my project is progressing slowest as a turtle :D

I have many doubts about how to this GUI and the sockets, it will be awesome to study :D

Awesome looking game, I would love to be able to make something like that (in due time hopefully), but where did you get the Sprite Sheet that your using? I usually have trouble finding nice Sprites, and Sprites Sheets for my games.

Hey I like that Agile board you use. Its the first I seen of "Trello". I used scrummy website, and of course rally at work (sucks).
Looking forward to playing your game soon too.
