Hi,

I startet a new Project with the codename "MirrowJump".
It is a basic platformer/Jump´n´Run game.
The idea is, that the Player can "mirror" himself either horizontal or vertical to reach the end of the level.

I will post videos of the progress in this thread...I think you will understand the concept when you watch a video ^^

DevLog #01 : Basic movement , mirroring , pause menu

DevLog #02 : Basic map editor , Dynamic camera
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBvi_3-CNFk

DevLog #03 : More map editor features , Maximum camera range , Propertie fields
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G45eJH8jme8

DevLog #04 : Alpha Release
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDIkaq43DPg

Note : That is my first public game, so please dont expect too mutch.

I'll loking forward this, because idea is good, but level design will be a crucial point for your game

Jep,
thought about this too...
Therefore I will try to make a level editor where you can create your own levels with own textures and so on...My plan is to make it possible to share level packs...
Do realise this I will separate the game logics and the game graphics.

Thanks for the feedback btw. ;)

don't do a level editor from scratch, use existing one, like http://www.mapeditor.org/

One question:
Should I implement the graphics of the level in the ingame-editor, or should I write a system so that the user can create the graphical part of the levels in his favorite image-editor?
