I read the preview on Google books and I'm definitely purchasing this. The most complete documentation for slick2d I have found to date

So here's my opinion..

I just read the book and the language is pretty clear. I was disappointed, though, because my expectations were to learn something I didn't know about.

The book is pretty straight forward and I recommend for those people who don't have much contact with Slick yet and don't feel comfortable reading the tutorials online. I don't recommend the book to people who already know how Slick works. (If you have a game already, you probably don't need the book). It's a very good introduction to Slick and a quick path to develop your very first game. It is a quick and good read that will give you a good overview of how the library works and how you can use it.

I feel like it's a great milestone for Slick and a great initiative, so I'm actually happy to have the book and glad that someone decided to write a book about our beloved library :D
