i Hate Robots


A jump 'n run game where you collect gems, avoid robots, dig and fly to make your way to the the next level.
Includes 20 levels, a level editor, 6 enemies, several tiles, switches&doors, teleports, ladders, ...

So, where am I?
I ported GUI code to nifty. It needs some work, and some bug will remain if not worked around. I don't want to spend much more time on that area, so the map editor will probably be a bit uneasy to use, but functional.

Some new things in already:
- map rotation (=level set), editable from map editor.
- game state is saved, you can continue next time
- level entrance/switching to next level/level clearing
- better gui, mouse-enabled level design
- level clock: try to end level as fast as possible
- bug fix, some new contents

I have some bugs to work on, 1 maybe 2 enemies to add, and some more contents to have a complete set. I need some more tiles, some more sounds, maybe a smarter ai and, more importantly, a good set of levels.

I will focus on bug-fixing (should be fast if i didnt miss too much) and level designing. Unfortunately I have a lot of work for school this week. But the game i will submit should be great.

I don't think ill post some more video/screenshot before release. Good luck to everyone !

Last progess:
- much more smarter robot ai, they start to be really annoying now, but still quite predictible so you can anticipate
- bug fixing
- more sound
- new levels
- new ennemy

My TODO list is getting smaller and smaller :)

Hey there,

I uploaded a first release jar (see first post). Enjoy!

Tomorrow, i will
- make more levels
- add the game over screen
- try to implement that last flying enemy you cant use yet, if it goes smoothly (as it should)
- some sounds
- some deco tiles
- allow map to be started with triggerable doors open
