It has come to my attention that the Slick-AE in svn is outdated. It has not been adjusted to work with libgdx 0.9.x. Also, there have been many tweaks to the Slick AE allowing it to use things like SavedState. Is there any way that these sorts of things could be added to the Slick repository?

I don't know. How is a patch made? Is it a particular format? There are a few soltions to problems described in the intro to slick ae topic. SavedState, Libgdx 9, and other things are implemented there. I'd be willing to try to make those into patches if it would help.

I think he means a patch using diff.

I'm trying to work this patch thing out, but I don't think it's working. I have the old Slick-AE in Android/Slick-AE, and the new in Slick2D/Slick-AE I made the patch using the syntax:

diff -rupN Android/Slick-AE/ Slick2D/Slick-AE/ > Slick-AE.patch

I get a patch, but then when I try to use it in the Android directory with this syntax:

patch -p1 < Slick-AE.patch

I get a command window called patch.exe that won't do anything.

what am I doing wrong?

I GOT IT!

This should add the following to Slick-AE:

Slick-AE works with libgdx 9 (thx tobse)
Tiled maps can have tilesets with ../ in their path
SavedState works on android (thx mangelok)
setIcon() and setIcons() in ApplicationGDXContainer work (thx nightmare)
