I've got an easy to use managed shader support package in my local repo, could I push it to dev? It offers support for shaders through multiple implementations (OpenGL and ARB currently), and it's very easy to use (shader.enable() etc.). I've documented all code as well.

sounds good to me. Shader support is so new that I don't think it matters if your code breaks old code.

I'm working on simple shader support as well, my rudimentary class:

Feel free to push yours or just post it here.

And I don't think Shader support should break old code, there is nothing in Slick it really depends on ATM.

Please let's take davedes version :D I still think we might need a Loader which keeps references for shaders. Since a Shader can apply also more then 2 ShaderPrograms in might be could to save those :)

I meant old shader implementations.
